Is your TV watching you? Samsung's latest sets with built-in cameras spark concerns

|

Samsung's latest breed of plasmas and HDTVs may allow hackers, or even the company itself, to see and hear you and your family, and collect extremely personal data.

The new models, which are closer than ever to personal computers, offer high-tech features that have previously been unavailable, including a built-in HD camera, microphone set and face and speech recognition software.

This software allows Samsung to recognise who is viewing the TV and personalises each person’s experience accordingly. The TV also listens and responds to specific voice commands.

But some critics have suggested that the TV company could be spying on you, or even watching and listening to you - without your knowledge - through these features.

Gary Merson, who runs website HD guru, said that because there is no way of disconnecting the camera and microphone, users cannot be 100 per cent sure that Samsung is not collecting data and passing it on to third parties.

Simple!!  Don't buy it!!!!  In fact, don't buy any Samsung Products ever!!!  Sony is a load of Shit too!   PS3s are designed to break down after 2 to 3 years so that you have to pay to repair them!!  Two major faults in the PS3!  Bad Soldering and a faulty chip that over-heats!!  Don't buy any PS3s!

P.S,  TV is nothing more than Nazi zionist Propaganda anyway, so why do you even need a tv??  The Nazis and the Zionists are one and the very same!  Zionists set up the Nazis and used the Name as a personal joke that the public were not aware of!  Nazi comes from Ashkenazi Counterfeit Jews (Fake Jews of Germany)   Nationist Socialist party was a cover for the inhouse joke!

True Suzie i think youre absolutely right, busses, trains, bus stops, bars, pharmacies, doctors, hospitals, public offices, schools amd the list just goes on and on. Hitler was right about the TV (its a powerful tool to get the masses eating out of your hand). Now its just rediculous its become a god in the living room.

I hated the HD when it hit the market. For one thing they hurt my eyes.  There are tv's everywhere from the supermarket to the 711's corner stores, ALL DOCTOR'S OFFICES .. really ?? i went to the dentist and they had two of them everywhere you look there is a flat screen tv. There is no where you can go that there is not a tv.  THEY  have  in my opinion become intrusive into our lives.. The supermarkets freek me out. there is a flat screen at every single check out!  Nobody thinks this is weird?? The "planners" are up to something we are NOT going to like.  I will NEVER buy one.. i have a laptop and put tape over the camera ..  lol i have another computer that does not have one ..  I look at the kids .. younger and younger 11yrs is an average age i think there are younger ones .. they are absolutely addicted to there devises and i do not see the parents limiting the time they use them.. but i digressed.. TV IS THE MONSTER THEY WANT US TO BE SO ADDICTED TO  they do there best mind control on that BOX OF LIES
