The Talking Snake

How many false prophets and propagandists will it take?

Until my countrymen can decipher what’s fake

Eve completely believed in a talking snake

This began a perpetual precedent for heaven’s sake!

Childish and short sighted easily misguided

God’s perfect companion made for man collided

Thanks to Women’s Lib the argument is one-sided

The gender war has already been decided,

You’re married now and she keeps insisting

But your battleship is seriously listing

Torpedoes of love upon which you’ve been subsisting

Your affection she always seems to be resisting,

From Adam’s rib God gave her perfect form

Yet, today prostitution has become the norm

Social unrest has now become the perfect storm

Just like “Girls Gone Wild” at the college dorm,

You can’t live with them or without

She tells you that you don’t know what she’s about

It’s all in paying for clout not enough and she’ll pout

Don’t ask her where she’s been even if you doubt,

Either you’re not being attentive

Or she’ll accuse you of being too possessive

You’re smothering when you’re just being protective

Don’t hold your breath waiting for her to give,

Live and let live you’re under the same roof

You wonder why she’s being so aloof

Is this just another unfaithful spoof?

Baby, why is it always you demanding proof?
