In the bubble we know as Washington DC as the suffering of the people under the Biden Administration scarcely filters through the lies and deflections there comes momentary acknowledgement of the situation and to that the transportation secretary says, “Just get an electric car. If you can’t afford gas prices!” Really? Are you that moronic and disconnected from the people of this country?
Too expensive!
Most EV’s today range from 45 to 60 thousand dollars just for a midsize SUV or sedan with a range of about 249 miles, and that’s if you are not driving very fast as the range will decrease from there. Then there’s the proposition of recharge. Two hours? In some models overnight. Then there’s the battery costing $14,000.00 to replace in as little as 50 thousand miles or less. Does this sound economically feasible to you? The lithium in these batteries is dangerously unstable and extremely pollutonous. There have been some fiery wrecks where the lithium ignited due to the impact of an accident killing the driver.
Power shortage
Infrastructure, now there’s a stretch. Elon Musk recently appealed to all of his Tesla customers not to charge their cars due to the Texas electrical grid being at fill capacity, needing maintenance work, and may still have outages or rolling blackouts on the threshold of the unusually hot summer we are currently experiencing. The drain on the grid by many EV owners could cause a massive grid collapse. Guess what the grid is powered by? Coal, natural gas, and diesel. These power plants are upwards of 50 years old and many need to shut down for repair work, but for the dangerously high temperatures that simply cannot be endured. It will take years to build new power plants to come online.
Hazardous
Solar and wind power have been an extreme disappointment as in extreme weather they tend to break down. Either ice or snow can cover up solar panels and cause windturbines to seize up and even catch fire just as high winds can cause a windmill clutch to go rogue and self-destruct. Repair crews have been burned to death caught up in the top of the tower when an electrical fire breaks out on top of that rig. No chance to escape in time.
No infrastructure
There are so few charging stations currently that even if there were enough electrical supply to accommodate EV’s there are not enough installations to allow for any kind of long distance travel. A driver is going to be a slave to whatever limited recharge stations are available. Expensive to replace, unstable batteries, highly toxic to the environment, and not enough supply or recharge capability leaves us drawing a big zero for practicality, affordability, and cost feasibility. What to do?
Unrealistic government projections
The US federal government under the Biden clown show wants to achieve a large market share of EV’s in consumer use by 2030 with several million on the road pushing internal combustion engines into the obsolete column by 2050. The problem? There is no more than 25% of the ore and minerals needed to supply production! Nickel, lithium, silver, and other needed materials are currently in countries like Afghanistan which the Biden Clown act ceded to the Taliban. China and Russia hold the vast amounts of the key elements needed and they will not be accommodating to the US or other allies of the western nations. The outlook is grim! Currently, the only stop gap measure is at least 100 years’ worth of oil and natural gas, and a huge supply of coal which can yield coal oil, coal gas, and coal liquefied engine fuel, but our government would rather cause shortage supplies, job losses, and power outages by regulating coal into extinction! This is what you get with entrenched ideologues, unrealistic answers and no reasonable solutions, just draconian doctorates.
There is an alternative though
There is a solution if government, and bog business will not get in the way as it will be a disruptive technology and that is the Nano silicone battery, capable of storage of solar power, capable of providing light weight, economic power for cars with a range of up to 1,100 miles in certain models. The Nano silicone powder battery is nonflammable and extremely stable, and a huge network of interconnected batteries that would act as a flowing grid system could be easily established constantly being charged by solar and wind acting as a backup to the conventional electrical grid until it is finally refurbished or replaced by the new Nano silicone battery storage and output system. The question is will it be implemented or will big business, the Deep State, or our enemies influence from within prevent it?
