Never got the memo on the plan of life

Was unprepared for all the strife

Abandoned by a wife

Emotions cutting just like a knife,

Hostile entities in our atmosphere

I feel the tension when they're near

Where oh where is my Guinevere?

This life seems so unclear,

Tired of corrupt governments that taunt

Of looking in the mirror and seeing this face so gaunt

All the intentional insanity I flaunt

If I could only live in the world I want,

If mankind self-destructed would there be a cosmic tear?

Or a toast with a Saurian beer

The silence might seem a bit queer

At a tribunal of his Homo sapiens peers,

If you hadn't heard my views

Or had the time to choose

All misguided notions that tend to confuse

I don't blame you for having a case of the blues,

Oh won't you try to stay

The sky has turned an angry gray,

There’s crowds gathering at the gates of dawn

Trying to pretend that they’re not pawns

While dew sizzles on morning lawns

All semblance of civility is gone,

The weatherman predicted rain

It shall fall on all those who feel the pain

Especially those who died in the fast lane

What did all of them have to gain?

When you can’t justify your point of view

What does that say about you?

Walking about on a short fuse

Your liberties and freedoms that you abuse,

Those who are inhuman with hardened hearts

Willing to tear people’s lives apart

They knew they were wrong right from the start

Load them into bubonic collection carts,

Convulsing from a thunder clap

Plenty of nuclear arsenals on tap

Society suffers an intellectual gap

Think I’ll take a celestial nap.
