Nothing will ever be the same anymore

Drifting in a fog far from shore

No one knocking on my door

Never quite felt this way before,

Insincere words can bring false hope

Especially when you’re at the end of your rope

You can’t utter obscenities with a mouth full of soap

Everything is meaningless now it’s all dope,

Trying to navigate these waters of lies

When I tell the truth I know I’m despised

You were unhappy but I tried and tried

A perfect recipe for your demise,

Was never impressed by pageantry and pomp

Nor the popular country and western stomp

What does it all have to do with draining the swamp?

The spoiled little princess wants a midnight romp,

Nothing will ever be the same

Society should bow its head in shame

Washington DC’s excuses are more than lame

To demonic spirits it’s all a game,

Intelligent creatures never evolved from a primordial pool

Indoctrination was never intended for schools

The insanity today plays by its own rules

I fear mankind is in the hands of fools,

My difficult enchantress where did you go?

You proposed a lifetime together don’t you know?

When it comes to detecting lies I’m a little slow

I was struck in the heart as if by a crossbow.
