The attacks on Mater Card, Pay Pal etc, have no association with Wikileaks and they can not be used by authorities to justify censorship.

 

The coordinated DDoS attacks have not been the work of  "Cyber Warriors" or "hackers", they are mostly carried out by kids who hangout at 4Chan, using the LOIC app, which anyone can download and run for their own amusement. One kid was arrested soon after the last operation.

 

The Gov has been using piracy as an excuse to go about seizing domains, now they are using wikileaks. They ordered Amazon to pull hosting and they tried without success to coerce the Swiss Gov operated Net Registry into pulling the wikileaks.ch domain.

 

These censorship measures however are useless against the DDoS attacks. They are run by individuals, hundreds in unison, with a PC app. No amount of domain seizures or any other form of censorship will change that.

 

As far as ethics go, our wanna be oppressors and their conspirators have none, they deserve all the DDoSing that can be orchestrated against them. I encourage the kids doing it, they are  just standing up for their beliefs and making a stand for free speech. And again, the authorities can't use it as a charge for censorship, there is no connection for preventing the attacks by censoring.

Whether shill or not they are using this as an excuse to stifle free speech and journalism which they can do with or without anyone's approval. They don't really need the theatrical ploy of Wikileaks but they do cling to that vampire like need for your assent to come into your house and bite you. That being the case there is nothing to lose by having hackers escalate the game to a new level outside of their control. It's no longer a problem within their control nor the reaction they sought and they have no solution for it that won't simply cause an escalation of the problem at this point.

 

If nothing else the hackers are denying them the implied assent of non-resistance.

 

Some claim that the pentagon hires the best hackers. Those are only the ones that get caught though so obviously not the best there are by a long shot. I think if they press things to the point that the truly talented hackers decide to get involved they will be royally screwed.

 

Do you really expect the internet will continue as a means of free expression without resistance. That they can be defeated through surrender? Rediculous.

 

Resistance is NEVER futile.

Thanks Bryan for understanding the situation with WikiLeaks.  WikiLeaks supporters either support Assange because of their desire to have a hero, or they just simply are working with the Operation.  They shouldn't be blinded by their need for a hero! 

 

You hit the nail on the head when you said problem, action, solution.  That is the game that the others are not seeing!

KLC, that is where my anger is directed!   In a corrupt court, yes the information would be just disregarde to get the criminals off.  But an Uncorrupt would at least look at the evidence.  If you haven't seen it, then I would suggest you really open your eyes and look again.

 

I don't know who you are actually supporting.  but I know when we are being manipulated.

Prove me wrong then.  Show me the evidence he isn't a rat!  Remember in their world you are guilty until proven innocent!

klc, i have to say i'm a little confused. i do understand your need of proof. but i don't understand how you can call yourself a no planer and at the same time find it so hard to believe the possibility of julian working with the cia. how hard can it be to see that what the hackers have done is exactly what our government has been warning us about. problem, action, solution. censor the internet.
