This Movie Called Life

This wrinkle in time

Like a hook on the end of a line

Right now not feeling too sublime

Just trying to interpret the signs,

A tear runs down the face of a clown

A self-centered little wench frowns

Chained and earthbound

There goes that feeling down, down, down,

Mixed impressions taken from within

One day they'll have to notify next of kin

Thought I could trust you through thick and thin

To think I committed a cardinal sin,

The night becomes a dark phantom all around

There seems no hallowed ground

Only that eerie muffled sound

Of the dragging of her long, formal, gown,

The candelabra drips melted wax

On a forgotten night and no one reacts

It’s lights out before they renew their attacks

Vaccination deaths no doctors only quacks,

The world has become the Twilight Zone

Lies fall from the skies like pine cones

Our founding fathers roll in their graves and moan

Will the traitors of the nation ever atone?

The will of the people for too long ignored

How many more times does the moon need to be explored?

While portraits of false gods are adored

Just as death comes to those who live by the sword,

The saddest moments can live in memories

Like the smell of smoke and debris

Holding us back from being free

Give my regards to the buried at sea,

The days are upon us and the hour is late

Still the fools deny their appointment with fate

Just as they deny they’re living in a police state

Find your liberty buried in a crate,

Reflections can go on forever and last

Like flying your own flag at half mast

Like witnessing the insanity and being left aghast

This movie called life and the role you’ve been cast.
