My veteran friends ever since the first gulf war I stood up for you. I wrote congress in your behalf, I contacted senators they said jim you're not in my district you would do better  writing my Washington DC email address. so, this I did, I wrote very member of the house and senate through their Washington e mail. And started a petition on via Facebook to reform all VA hospitals during the first gulf war because of the stories I heard from vets coming home from the war. desperately needing the VA's help but phones wouldn't get answered and VA doors were locked troops coming home couldn't get the help they need.  suicide rates sky rocketed PTSD was a major factor of this. and still the VA turned their backs on you.

so, I joined www.Votevets.org  and petitioned to reinstate the GI bill after sending out petition after petition far and wide we votevets wheeled in case after case of signatures to congress. The Bill was passed. I understand now the GI bill is on a first come first served basis.  

this is total BS and your government the very one who turned their backs on you when you came home. the VA hospitals wouldn't care for PTSD treatment because the "VA said if you don't have a physical wound you're not hurt.".  

as you could tell this pissed me off on sept. 24th 2005 my wife and I went to Washington DC and protested the Iraq war and marched side by side with The Iraq Veterans Against War ( IVAW)
