To Those Who Dare

Seems to me like we’re going nowhere

But no one seems to care

A light in the night sky was that just a flare?

Perhaps a warning to those who dare,

I grew up in a country I thought I could be proud of

Despite the chaos in a world of push and shove

Just like my fantasy of a girl who fits like a glove

I always thought you see that we could always rise above,

For what reason can we be living?

With all these unrealistic misgivings

Seems that patriotism is missing

Save your nation if you’re willing,

Seems to me like we’re going nowhere

But no one seems to care

I’m on this ship with a crazy crew

With illegal servers that are home brew

All the corrupt actors acting as if they knew

Abusing political prisoners until they’re black and blue,

This is the state of our republic now

All of them hiding the truth they can’t allow

They’re all in violation of their solemn vows

Buying weaponry instead of investing in ploughs,
