To You Wherever You Are

Things I should have said

Things that might bring you dread

I could have laid it all out in a thread

But, I foolishly kept quiet instead,

When I think of you

I see a pure sky of blue

All tears hidden from view

You give me reason to smile too,

If only you had been a little older

That dark hair below your shoulders

Here I go pushing an uphill boulder

While feelings inside me just smolder,

Hungering for love everyday

Something inside me has gone astray

But, I’m not here to enter any fray

I’m a man like Adam molded from clay,

You’ll always have a part of me in your soul

It’s a pity the world won’t make us whole

The powers that be who exert the control

A part of my heart that you stole,

How can two different worlds collide?

Did you and I really decide?

Or, is this just one crazy senseless ride?

This man no longer has any foolish pride.
