Tropical Jacaranda Tree, Beautiful Trees With Purple Flowers!

The Jacaranda tree was one of my favorite trees with purple flowers. When I was a young girl growing up at the beach they were growing everywhere with palm trees planted near.

Jacaranda trees are one of the types of evergreen trees, even when the flowers aren't in bloom the full soft leafs are still a sight to behold!

The jacaranda tree is a tropical beauty with its clusters of fragrant, lavender and purple, trumpet-shaped blooms. They also make an excellent shade tree with vibrant color and texture for your tropical garden - this information was taken from the plant identification picture app for free.

It is also prized by tropical gardeners because of its delicate fern-like foliage, its grey bark and beautiful display of blue, mauve, and purple flowers.

You'll never be disappointed if you plant these beautiful purple flowering trees in your garden!

These beautiful trees of color can reach up to 50 feet tall and 15 to 20 feet wide which makes them a great shade, don't say I didn't warn you but when the flowers shed it makes a Big mess, so I don't recommend planting to too close to a pool that's even more of a mess and can ruin your pool filter.

This tree is semi-deciduous. It thins but doesn't usually drop all its leaves in winter unless the weather drops down to freezing repeatedly.

Native to Brazil and Bolivia, this exotic tree will handle frosty temperatures down to 30 degrees once it's established, but will not survive much frost when young.

The Blue Jacaranda can grow quite well and easy, it likes lots of suns and doesn't mind hot temperatures.

The Jacaranda prefers well-drained sandy soil and isn't really fond of winds.

It handles low rainfall and dry air making it a good choice for the drought-tolerant landscape.

If it is happy where it is growing it can form a truly spectacular tree.

Make sure to grow the Jacaranda mimosifolia where its showy purple flowers can be seen easily and enjoyed by all and where falling litter will not be a problem.

It is probably one of the most stunning trees you can have in the garden when it is in bloom, and its feathery leaves make it an asset to the landscape all year round.

Jacaranda prefers enriched sandy, well-drained soils but is tolerant of most soil types.

This is not a salt-tolerant plant.

Direct bright sunny conditions are preferred by the Jacaranda mimosifolia. This tree will tolerate some shade but it won't produce as many flowers when it blooms.

Likes moisture but can tolerate some drought. It doesn't like soggy or poorly drained situations.

For optimum, growth plant it Zones 9 - 11.

Propagating is by seed although Selected varieties are grafted, you can use cuttings from half-ripened wood but treatment with a rooting hormone will be necessary.
