Two Strange Military Incidents Decades Apart but Related

After talking with a former US Air Force coastal anti-aircraft battery officer who served during Vietnam and making note of a strange incident in 2012 I put the two together for an explanation. I attended 3 of the 5 scheduled UFO Crash Retrieval Conferences in Las Vegas. Each time I was surprised at the number of retired and reserve intelligence officers who took interest in the convention. One officer told me of an incident in 1967 where his anti-aircraft battery located on the Florida coast had picked up a “Bogey” on their radar. At the time he claimed they had the most powerful targeting radar available. During this period tensions were high as the Vietnam War was in full swing, SAC (Strategic Air Command) was on alert, and with Cuba, China, and the Soviet Union on the move advanced warning systems were alerted everywhere.

Incoming threat

As they tracked the incoming UFO confidence was high that it was not civilian or conventional. Just as the radar guided anti-aircraft artillery was about to fire the coast battery installation was hit by a powerful burst of energy that completely knocked out their targeting radar. They were electronically blinded by an unidentified aerial vessel that had been approaching the US coastline. At the time they were at a loss to explain who had done this, where they came from, and what kind of instrumentality was involved.

Russia's Tu-95 Bear Is a Monster You Never Want to See | The National Interest

Demonstration of force?

Fast forward to 2012. A US Naval missile cruiser is on patrol in the Baltic Sea. Due to the Obama Administration’s lax attitude toward Russian provocations on the high seas US Naval Captains and commanders are instructed to stand down even when Russian fighters or bombers are making high speed passes at their ships. Though the class of missile cruiser this ship was is not revealed, we don’t know if it was an Arleigh Burke Class or some other missile capable warship, but we do know the events that transpired. The Russians have been known to ram US Naval Warships on routine patrol. They have been known to make aggressive moves on US military aircraft such as fighter jets. The Russians also regularly infringe upon US air space with their TU-95 long range bomber requiring interception by US fighters.

A sitting duck spared?

On this occasion as the US Naval missile cruiser made its way through Baltic Sea waters its radar picked up approaching Russian aircraft. Due to the circumstances the missile systems of the US ship were activated for launch should the need be determined. Once the Russian jet was several thousand yards away it emitted a powerful pulse that blinded the onboard radar operations. Considered the most sophisticated radar in the world, the US Navy ship was incapable of targeting incoming threats. As the story goes, this action completely demoralized the crew who thought next they would be attacked! Instead the Russians simply took a flyby and left the stunned crew to steam home. The Russians later made a statement that the more complex the radar system the easier it is to take out. So, apparently the Russians have a trick up their sleeve and they may have had it for a long time. Amazingly, the US apparently does not know how to counter it. Electronic warfare or radar jamming is how they refer to this technology.

Russia has been using their trawlers for decades in the gulf as electronic surveillance vessels and right now a Russian missile ship is in the Atlantic about 600 miles off the eastern coast of the US. The Russians have nothing to consider harmless of blameless over they also made high speed bombing runs on US warships on routine patrol. This is a game of cold war chess all over again!

Good essay and unwittingly humorous in an ironic way. It's hard to imagine the U.S superpower downgraded to a 'sitting duck' but perhaps feasible in the circumstances. What on earth were they up to in the Baltic Sea so far away from home that they had to steam off in such a hurry. One can not blame Russia or any other country for that matter in the area for getting a little nervous over Americas presence there. The Baltic Sea area might also be someone else's EEZ and like all countries not take kindly to interference in those special areas just as America herself would also not welcome suspicious behaviour in her exclusive economic zones. It should be noted just for interest that Kaliningrad borders the sea in question and mother Russia the gulf of Finland. It's also possible that one of the small neighbour countries may have called Russia in for assistance. It would be like a foreign powers war ship  turning up in the the Gulf of Mexico and Cuba calling in for in help. ( P.S The Russians are the last of the great Tartarians and we have no idea of the advanced knowledge they have because the western elite have hidden that from us. Even as we speak the Russians are using Pyramids to Rapidly extract oil because they Know how to change the viscosity of the fluid and pump it out much faster than we would ever realise was possible. Oh and they've also got a new petroruble. )
