US clings to 'Drug War' as Latin America considers change

At the Summit of the Americas, this year, Latin American leaders
will be admitting that the 'War on Drugs' is a failure and that
they should be considering alternatives, such as ending prohibition.

Ending prohibition will all but destroy the black market on which
the violent drug cartels thrive.

Leading up to the Summit of the Americas, however, the Obama
Administration has indicated that they intend to cling steadfast to
old and failing policies, even as Latin American leaders consider
change.

Here's how the conversation is going...

democracynow.org - As Vice President Joe Biden wraps up a trip to Central America insisting the drug war must continue, a growing number of Latin American leaders are calling for the decriminalization or legalization of drugs. "This debate now is no longer going to be suppressed," says Ethan Nadelmann, founder and executive director of the Drug Policy Alliance. "Once U.S. officials are obliged to participate in the discussion and to do it in a real way, the smartest among them know there is no way to defend the current U.S. strategy."

Here come uncle Sam again to save the world ! Is time the United States worry about their own country and people and stop polluting the world with their fake freedom and fake democracy... Because is a Fake democracy,,,Just look what they been doing to Ron Paul with the media manipulation and the robbery of so many of his votes...and now they want to mess with Latin America because they have decide that is better to treat drogue addiction as a health condition than a felony . The United States have become the bigger consumer of Drugs in the world and the bigger distributor of it  as we speak because of all this heroin fields that they have capture in Southern Afghanistan . They been selling weapons to the Drug cartels in Mexico and the Caribbean and letting the drug keep on coming to America...Went you read in the press that this huge cargo of millions of dollars in drugs have been capture what they don't tell you is that a Billion one made it in and that want was a diversion...The FEDS are as corrupted as the Mafia ...all of them are..if Drugs ever get to become legal it will be the end for all of them economically...that is why they need Drugs to be Illegal... All that Anglo English Propaganda Bullshit about the British Empire becoming so big because of it military might is bull crab ! The British got big because of all the drug trafficking they did in China and South East Asia...so the Bush Family, but they will never tell you this on American TV.
