Valley of Kings

The death waltz of mankind
Somehow evil gets enshrined
Sanity is very hard to find
Truth seekers become maligned,

Thinking about the fate of us all
Who knows how long before the fall
The Tsunami must have been a hundred foot tall
Made me feel just a little bit small,

There was a mushroom cloud I saw from the 4th floor,
Suddenly life had little meaning anymore
You have to accept what comes through that door
Our government is rotten to the core,

God give us justice or some kind of reprieve
There's so little left to believe
Rather than stay too many spouses leave
Harder to tell the truth than it is to deceive,

The death waltz of mankind
Good and evil can’t be combined
Most of the US Congress should resign
Our enemies and the government intertwined,

Woke up this morning with an unfinished battle in my head

All of my family are gone or dead

I used to keep so many little ones fed

You left me after everything had been said,

Can’t really believe anything on the news

Still they lie still I refuse

Too many sheep who agree with their views

They always fail but it’s others they accuse,

Somewhere in the Valley of Kings

Where the casualties of battle still sting

Where unseen voices still sing

Where children still smile at the love you bring,

In another life I knew you well

Even though I loved you still you gave me hell

Foolishly I waited for time to tell

Upon my own shiny sword I fell,

The death waltz of mankind
If you disagree you'll be confined

All logic has been misaligned

All honest agents have been reassigned.
