Leftist Tweeting About "#Voxapocalypse"
Because it's not even about Left or Right, it's about whoever disagrees with those in power. Thus Copblock and Antiwar.com were removed from social media in the last round of bannings. The latest brouhaha on the right is about Louder With Crowder's demonetization. For the record, I don't find him or his co-host ("Not Gay" something or other) funny at all, even though they claim to be comedians. The end result is that those in power just took a huge bite out of the total dissent. And, yes, the left is at fault for initiating it.
"YouTube's banning spree went far beyond conspiracy and hate speech. They are now going after educational videos, media, commentary channels, comedians and anyone with ideas they don’t agree with.
Part of this is due to a Vox writer who literally had a tweet that says 'deplatforming works, and it needs to be used more aggressively' This whole thing was planned as a way to silence people you don’t agree with.
YouTube RATCHETING UP their CENSORSHIP…Removing and Banning 'EXTREME VIEWS'.
Who needs government censorship when they can get their partner corporations to do it for them!"
Below, Tim Pool cries about the recent bannings, but I don't recall any of these people being too upset about Stormfront being deplatformed as to their website host, or banks refusing to deal with the payment processor they created, Hatreon, etc. etc. etc. They still speak of banning "hate speech" like it's no big deal, or even justified. I'm glad to see it's coming for conservatives, liberals, etc. Most of those who listen to people talking politics on Youtube only see it as infotainment anyway. This gives them a taste of the coming reality, at least.
