Where You can Easily Become Prey
Fate came for an unpleasant stay
In a shabby, unused, room not far from the bay
While mankind existed in disarray
Where the victims and evidence both lay,
At the very core of the maelstrom
That thy kingdom would come
Listening to an acoustic guitar strum
The fools self-destruct blind, deaf, and dumb
The answers are few and far between
Hard, in this current world, to feel clean
The opposition to the truth has gotten mean
While evil goes seen and unseen,
Fate came for an unpleasant stay
The only fire hydrant a half mile away
A president who took a ride in a motorcade
Naval intelligence on a 1941 morning got played,
Who controls fate I cannot say
Sadly, our own actions cause such dismay
Better get down on your knees and pray
In a world where you can easily become prey,
Fate has come for an unpleasant stay
In America where the doom may be delayed
Where history will never be accurately portrayed
Where most of us had a welcome that we overstayed.
