A man attempted to climb a fence outside the White House on Friday afternoon, putting the complex on temporary lockdown.
The man tried to climb a fence on the Pennsylvania Ave. side of the White House but was apprehended by U.S. Park Police and uniformed Secret Service officers before he got onto the grounds, Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said.
