Why Dirty Harry is Still Relevant Today

Once I had a girlfriend ask me why so many men identified with Clint Eastwood’s character “Dirty Harry”. With Soros funded district attorneys all over the country allowing violent criminals and even murderers to walk the streets without paying bail and with minimal sentences, is it hard to guess why? With the rights of the offender taking precedence over the victims, it would be easy to see how outraged citizens would find a law enforcer like Inspector Callahan to be a refreshing change over the defunded and hesitant police departments of today. Paid rioters are allowed to burn down cities as police are ordered by mayoral offices to stand down. What kind of insanity is this?

Easing up on the criminal

The Dirty Harry series of movies came at a time in the early 70’s when west coast police departments under the faulty idea that violent criminals came from unfair environments so they should be shown more mercy by the courts at the expense of the victims had been a new trend. As a result there were many violent and deadly crimes committed that went unpunished as victims lay dead or wounded in the wake of crime sprees that sprang up no longer deterred by the fear of penalty by the law. The new liberal district attorney offices managed to remove the death penalty under the flawed reasoning that death row did little to deter murderers. History will tell us they were wrong.

The enforcer

Eastwood plays Dirty Harry, a police inspector who is sick of watching the guilty walk and the innocent getting raped, murdered, and robbed by thugs unafraid of the new liberal mandated lesser crime penalties. At time, he’s forced to take matters into his own hands and he does so with the kind of savage gun efficiency used by the out of control criminals. Of course he faces the backlash of the leftist media who back the weak and cowardly police departments forced to cow tow to the new rationale of those insulated from crime and don’t care about the people who are victimized by it. Does this sound like what’s happening today? Compared to the 70’s as groups of paid agitators paid by Democrat donors attack the police and some cases as in Seattle even capture overwhelmed police substations. People of the 70’s would not be able to believe that America has descended into the depths of hell as we are now. Cities like Chicago and New York are cesspools of lawlessness and gang violence, but even more is there no fear of the law now as daylight robbery occurs in department stores with no legal repercussions.

The new corrupted America

Today, Dirty Harry would have a target rich environment of punks who could care less about the brutality of the crimes they commit or the suffering of the victims. Morality in the inner cities as well as “Blue Cities” has become appallingly common and almost accepted as the norm which is the way the Democrats want it. How did America ever get this way? It has simply taken one political party with an insane lack of values to lower the standards of American life to living in fear of one’s sacredly held beliefs, forced to accept weaponized judicial failure, voter fraud, deficit spending that has caused record inflation, and the refusal of the government to carry out its constitutional duty to protect our borders in order to build a new voting base so as to remain in power forever or until they manage to wreck the country!

The end result

They would never allow law enforcement to have the autonomy of a Dirty Harry but we need it anyway. The events at Uvalde at a school where teachers and students were massacred because of police hesitancy to act tells us just where politics have corrupted the entire system! Inspector Callahan you are definitely needed! Come back! Today even when police are faced with resisting arrest and even having their gun taken away from them still the thug becomes either hero or victim.
