Published on Aug 2, 2014 What happens when you go to counterprotest people who are angry at the murdering of over 1,700 people? The national march in DC for Palestine, an estimated 10,000 people gathered at Lafayette SQ. A dozen to 15 pro-Israel counterprotesters without permit stood in front of the White House when about 50-100 protesters confronted them. The crowd quickly swelled to about 300 people ambushing them. About a thousand were surrounding the pen in the span of an hour before police vans transported them from the scene. In total, 50-60K spanning over 12 blocks marched, making it the largest protest against the occupation of Palestine in the states.
