By KEVIN DOLAK, Nov. 27 2010
Living country music legend Willie Nelson was charged with possession of marijuana after six ounces were discovered aboard his tour bus in Texas, according to a U.S. Border Patrol spokesman.
Nelson's tour bus pulled into a routine checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas -- approximately 85 miles east of El Paso -- around 9 a.m. on Friday. When an officer noticed a suspicious odor coming from the bus, a search turned up the marijuana, police said.

Burned it down on Hoyt Axton's bus once, but never with Willie.

The border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca is not even on the border. Rather, it's on Interstate 10. Read the description on the Texas Criminal Lawyer Blog. Clearly this has nothing do with looking for illegal immigrants. If you think you can avoid the TSA by driving instead of flying, think again. Soon there will be "checkpoints" all across the country.
