Window in the Rain

Who remembers the day as it comes around

Beating up yourself over mistakes you made like a clown

Lord knows you have enough guilt to make you drown

Trying to think of good times and those sounds,

No way to re-live history

The outcome would still remain a mystery

Surely no one dwells in my tree

Then why do I suffer to the 10^th degree?

These thoughts cross your mind when you’re lonely

Instead of being someone’s one and only

The hours that were wasted let me take a knee

Why are so many of us tormented by memory?

I was a passenger on the galactic queen’s train

Even leaving at light speed I could still feel the pain

The kinds of thoughts that drive some people insane

Spent all my time trying to find an angel in vain,

The face pressed against the window in the rain

Leaving just one more blood stain

Living life with nothing to gain

How do you exist without love please explain,

Don’t think the my life raft can stand the strain

Washed up on the struggles of my brain

I wonder as they raise the wreckage out with a crane

How do you deal with this kind of pain?
