Student debt is the next bubble to burst.

But they've come up with a new plan to save the housing market:

Crossing the student debt point of no return – for-profit colleges ...

The student loan market is back in the news as it makes its unrelenting march to the $1 trillion mark. This crippling figure comes in the face of a decade of lost wages for middle class Americans. Just like the housing bubble people were supplementing a disappearing middle class with more debt. The allure of housing was that never in our history have we seen national home prices fall, until they did in dramatic fashion. The same cultural nostalgia for education in every respect has created a zombie higher education system that is now expanding like the mortgage markets at the height of the housing bubble. Why? For-profit schools have largely lured in countless Americans into a system that has provided very little economic gains for students while enriching these Wall Street listed companies.

I do remember that movie, Burbia, it was a good one.

Here's a related article, 'The Screwed Generation.'

June is famous for weddings and graduations. Both are filled with great expectations and both are subject to great disappointments.

Today’s college graduates are thoroughly screwed. According to Matthew Segal, the president of a non-profit membership organization called Our Time, “With 85% of college graduates moving back home and an average debt of $22,900 per student, thousands are staring at a bleak economic future.” You think?

Aren’t these the eager, besotted youngsters who, at age 18, voted for Barack Hussein Obama as if he were the Second Coming? In the words of Herman Cain, a GOP presidential contender, how did that work out?

“New college graduates,” said Segal, “are entering an economy with an almost 17% unemployment rate for Americans under the age of 30.” Despite that and other horrible statistics, Segal insists “We know there is still a bright future out there…” Oh, yeah? High unemployment. Having to move back home. Graduating with a huge debt. That’s not my definition of a bright future. Continue

Right on.  When they were talking about where are the college students today, I kinda was expecting to see Campus PD, a television show about the college exploits students engage in usually to 'blow off steam' from 'mid-term finals'.  Anyone seen the movie, "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? Remember the part where abductees return stating their name rank and serial number.  "Burbia, state college, BA. 2000"

"Destroying the New World Order"
