Drunk & Stoned Defense Contract Workers, In Detroit, Making Heavy Armored Vehicles For US Military

If the video of stoned Defense Contractors in Afghanistan, recorded this year, outraged you, here is another one recorded in your very own backyard.

There's a plant in Detroit called Tower Defense and Aerospace. The name itself gives you an idea what they do inside, but the video below clearly shows the employees, otherwise engaged in making heavy armored vehicles for the US military, drinking and smoking pot right outside the Tower Defense during their lunch break. And, once again, these guys are paid for by American tax dollars!!

This video was recorded in 2011.

I don't think the video uploader's comment in the description of the video is suggestive of the assumption that the video uploader would be happier if the employees were paid by a foreign government or if the employees were denied a lunch break. It only draws attention to the lack of oversight and sensitivity towards the seriousness of the work being performed by the employees' and their supervisors/employers.

Lunch time is not synonymous with drinking alcohol or smoking weed. And considering that any kind of intoxication only suppresses one's senses and vigilance, it is certainly an undesirable activity to indulge in specially at a time when the people concerned are engaged in a manufacturing process that produces items that are critical to the security and safety of the military personnel on the battle ground. The slightest mistake could result in a faulty product that could jeopardize the security and safety of armed personnel resulting in casualties.

Smoking pot and/or drinking alcohol is neither a necessity nor worth it when it could cost people their lives.
