I was thinking the other day about these students and wondered if anyone thought up the idea to bring thousands of marbles to be distributed amongst the crowd so that they might roll them behind the police lines.  All that would have to happen then would be for one big "mob" push forward and the police would be on their heels and more importantly on their bums!?  Just a non lethal suggestion to even the playing field a bit and allow for the "mob" to assert its strength.
