Too many harmless citizens dying at the hands of those we are supposed to feel trust and comfort with. (Protect and Serve) I am a Former Marine combat veteran, Vietnam. I can assure you that non of us fought for this kind of random murder df our fellow Americans. I am shamed. I am however aware of the Element that law enforcement has to deal with and it may well require the aggressive posture that showed here. This was radical over kill right from the onset sending this contingent of officers to kill a slow, homeless man. It was murder guys, murder. Shame should follow you guys for the rest of your days. Ask your maker for forgiveness!
I am hopeful that at some point you are able to regroup and remember that you are our countrymen.

 By the way, how can you guys watch someone being murdered?  I'm not attacking you.  I'm just saying that, personally, I could not view that.  I did once, when Oscar Grant was murdered.  But, after that, I just couldn't watch anymore.  I guess it is important, though, to see this stuff; to remember what we're dealing with here. 

Just Saturday I was talking to a guy about my age.  He was reminding me when cops used to do stuff like:

1. Take you home if you were drunk
2. Unlock your car door if you'd locked your keys in your car (this has been discontinued)
3. Be a PART of the community, sometimes even coming over for dinner
4. Clear traffic for a pregnant woman, as she was driven to a hospital.  I had this done for me twice.

Yes, there was a time when cops were more human, although there have always been brutal assholes. 

I remember one time I went to this "white" neighborhood to find a shop that sold a certain machine that I wanted to use for hustling buttons at amusement parks, craft shows, etc.  I got directed down this gangway.  It was strange, because I came to this opening where there were a number of storefronts, in a semi-circle.  Most fascinating placed I'd ever seen, up to that point, in Chicago, somewhere around 47th and Western.

Back then, that was the "white" neighborhood.  Might still be, I don't know.

Anyway, I get into this kind of courtway, and I'm looking for the store.  I suddenly here someone grunt, from behind me.  I turned around and there were like 7 BIG white dudes, and I just KNEW that I ass was DEAD.  One of them said, through a sinister grin, "Soooooo, are you LOST??!!  Is THAT'S what's happening, hum?  You're LOST!!"  You're over here in THIS neighborhood, LOST!!"

I began trying to figure out which two I would try to take out so I could run my ass off, but there was only ONE way out, so I was just fucked.  But, suddenly, two white cops appeared.  I could tell that they knew these guys, so I still was a bit nervous.

One of them said, "Everything okay here?"  And the white dudes, looking very nervous, said, "Yeah...yeah...Everything's fine," and they left.

WHEW!!  The cops walked me to their squad car, and I got in the back.  They drove me to the nearest intersection so that I could get on a bus and get my ass outta there.  While they were driving me, they started talking to each other: "I wonder what Rod and his boys were doing around here.  They're usually further north."

The other one said, while looking back at me, "I guess they were hungry," and then he broke out laughing.  I felt like this was some kind of sitcom.

My point is that, those cops could have easily turned around and let my ass get kicked.  They did not. 

So, see, this is the thing: We're all family.  But they got us afraid of each other; HATING each other; assuming shit about each other.  And it don't matter black/white.  It could be ANYTHING.  IT is simply true that the rich divide us.  And we allow for it.  We'll change it, one day.

American policemen are a product of American society.  They do not recruit them from Saturn.  They, and their actions, are a reflection of the collective US.  As a society, we are viewed, by people in other countries, are insane, deadly, aggressive barbarians.

On a RACIAL note (but not really), back in the 1960s, some of us who could see the handwriting on the wall used to give the following warning to those of the so-called "white" community that would listen:

"Up until today, black folks have been the primary people being persecuted in this country.  In the future, it's going to change.  It's going to be ALL of us.  People had better wake up."  In truth, I can't tell you how some of those insightful black folks could see this, but they did.

My big brother, back in the '70s, said the following to me while he and I were out driving: "Slavery is coming back, lil brother.  But it's going to be different this next time.  Instead of black folks being enslaved, it's going to be everybody."

And now, today, people are characterizing the United States as a police state, and it's pretty much shaping up to be just that, what with NSA spying on citizens, the militarization of the police department, the transformation of many public schools into virtual prisons, where students have to go through metal detectors, etc.

Black folks are still bearing the brunt of persecution, with the random murders of black men all over the country.  But, a rising number of white males are getting THEIR butts blown away too, by insane cops.  There is the phenomena also of the state police, on highways, literally robbing people of their money, claiming, "This must be drug money you have on you."  They literally take your money, and you never see it again.  You don't go to jail or anything.  This is happening increasingly.

Then there are the alleged FEMA camps that people like Jesse Ventura and Alex Jones claim have been created all over the place.  I do not know about that.  But, I don't doubt it. 

One of the interesting things that happened in the 1960s and 1970s is that "white" folks began to rebel.  And the police, as well as the FBI, were MURDERING those white rebels just as easily as they were murdering black folks.  This was a very important thing for people to see, because it showed that we were fighting A SYSTEM, not "the white man."  Yes "the white man" certainly WAS an oppressor, only because he had become stupid enough to fall for that game that the rich had been playing since the pitted black and white farm workers against each other in the 1700s, after there had been a number of SUCCESSFUL interracial rebellions where whites and blacks fought together for improved conditions and better pay on farms.

In fact, the blacks and whites worked so well together that they were surprise themselves.  Then, as Dr. Michelle Alexander recounts in her book, The New Jim Crow," the white landowners literally got together and worked out a scheme to divide the black and white workers by creating a strata system on the farm, where whites were given higher positions.  In time, this broke their unity.

It's actually a tactic as old as dirt.  And they're doing it AGAIN, and we're falling for it, because, I guess, we have no effective strategy against it.  It seems that the divide and conquer tactic always works, unless the people rise to a very high level of sophistication, as has happened, of course, in some cases in history. 

Oh, by the way, pigs are brutal all over the planet.  Police forces are are just like that, it seems.  I don't know that it's any worse here than anywhere else.  But it's certainly bad enough.

Who are these moronic bastard jurors who let these assholes walk free, I don't get it are they fearing retaliation? The system stinks and everyone associated with it needs to be held accountable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
