Yes, we may have the right to burn whatever we so choose to in the US, but is it always the right thing to do? With any shred of common sense and decency you wouldn't even think of burning someones holy book. What if a Muslim American was caught burning a bible, which would be idiotic too, but wouldn't all hell break loose and we'd never hear the end of it? All religion arguments do is divide us furthur and quite frankly......I'm sick of it!

Burning somebody's holy book to show the level of contempt you have for them is pretty stupid but is definitely not something that should be illegal.

 

Rioting and killing people in response not only IS illegal in most every country I ever heard of it is also 10x as stupid considering it shows just how vulnerable you are to such a stupid display and fairly ensures that more of the same will follow. The asshats were looking for a reaction and the muslim world gave them one in spades which only feeds their petty vanity and maliciousness.

 

Maybe as they become more experienced with the internet they will figure it out - Don't feed the trolls!

as far as the koran, so what? he's right you can burn a holy book. everyone is all sensitive and over analyze every little thing. how about analyzing yourself and scrutinizing every little detail of what you say? make youtube vids about yourself and totally exaggerate every detail.

We do in fact have the right to burn a bible, the flag and any other thing we care to as long as we abide by city fire ordinances.  Although most don't and wouldn't want to.

I think the freedom of expression clause is taken too liberally, and it shouldn't be used to attack other nations or religions. The U.S Constitution is there for Americans in America, not for Americans to use against others outside of America, because the U.S Constitution is not World law, and it owuld be better for Americans to just insult each other and fix their own damn countryand the stinking mess it has created for itself and others...
