I agree with what you've said Ria, in response to Snowy Smith South Africa comment.
Its a situation of; "damned if you do, and damned if you don't" - there will always be something missing from the content, for someone else.
And as you have rightly indicated, and as portrayed in the documentary - "governments have historically deprived people of firearms ... and then wiped out population after population from the face of the earth."

Any one documentary cannot possibly cover all the atrocities that have been committed by man against man, all throughout history. The subject of this documentary is centered around how governments have historically deprived people of firearms ... and then wiped out population after population from the face of the earth. Quite naturally, it will not speak of Black slavery or Blood Diamonds or Massacre in Holdomor or genocide by the British in India or native Indian genocide in America or post WW2 decimation of Germans or Palestinian genocide or even the Christian genocide at the hands of Jews.
