I'm not sure Ariessun but what I do know is that Alex doesn't like competition in the fear porn arena ;) Of course I'm speculating and being a bit sarcastic right now. I don't really know the real reason why he's not allowed on the show anymore. I'm sure it had a lot to do with ego more than anything.
