No, the rest of the story came before the show and after a titillating tidbit of an auditory appetizers. The man was a genius and I listened to his shows anytime I could get a chance..... Which was hard considering I hated the country music stations his show was broadcast on. Paul Harvey was the last of the truthful radio men of his era, and I for one am saddened at his passing.
I would always look forward to his show - His famous saying, to end his radio shows, was; "and now you now the rest of the story".
Millions Of Americans listened to his programs which were Broadcast over 1,200 radio stations nationwide.
When You listen to this, remember the commentary was Broadcast 47 years ago on April 3, 1965.
