cheeki kea - Since the major NATO countries are sending military equipment and assistance to Ukraine, they have weakened their own defense.  So, if a non-NATO country decided to invade, it would be a good time.  Russia is busy with Ukraine, but China...

You're right Parrhesia they want to surround them with new Natos on the Europe front to antagonise them while they overlook everything on eastern front in their haste. What happens if the Russians turn up in an American state or Canada are all those Nato countries going to suddenly come to the rescue. It's not like the Russians haven't been talking about other options if you can catch the YouTube vids before the disappear.

cheeki kea - They meant keep Russia out of NATO.  That way NATO could keep adding countries to overpower Russia.

america IN, russia OUT, Germany you going DOWN. - It's a total joke. Perhaps they might have some advantage over Germany - as they've recently shown but to keep russia out that's an absolute on going laugh if ever there was one. Russia - The world's largest country in terms of geographic area at 6,592,800 square miles must be kept out of the game Come on ! russia is next door to just about Everyone.

'Keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down' - those were the words of Nato’s first Secretary General, Lord Ismay, when explaining the aims behind the new military alliance.  The mission statement holds true today.  Germany is being held down.  The provocation of Russia has gone on for years.  But America is killing itself.
