I need to watch this when I get a chance. I've been so busy lately but will definitely bookmark it. Thanks for posting it Nikki :)

My daughter is also very bright and gifted intellectually along with a couple of my nephews. One nephew is off the charts IQ wise. I remember a cousin of mine advancing in grades and going to college when he was only 16. It did not work out well for him however... long story. It is a tragic one unfortunately.

Good luck, Vince and please let me know what you find.

BTW, there is talk about a movie version of Me & Lee. It's a real life tragic love story and I admit I cried at the end.

Vince, I did check them out. Pete was about 7 yrs older than Ruby and they were both in Chicago at the same time and later on in LA so their paths must have crossed. There must be a way to find out why the FBI interviewed him and why he was listed in the index as a 'good friend'.

Holly, the parents of those kids gave me da heebie-jeebies. BTW, I saw an article recently about Lady Gaga and some other Illuminati types all coming from magnet schools. Can't find the article now :(

That's exactly what happened, Vince. I'm glad I pulled my daughter out of the gifted program. At the time I thought it was a waste of time and nothing more than extra homework, something she didn't need as the schools assign too much busywork anyway. Then she wanted to study Russian but then we read the details of the program and realized she would have been recruited so she nixed that idea.

Ra, you would have to read the whole book to decide how smart she was. She caught their attention when she was in high school. She was a brilliant prodigy, idealistic and loved her country. This was in the late 1950s and early 1960s and she had a sheltered life. She explains in her book in great detail about how she was drawn into this plot.

The first part of Judyth's book is about her life before meeting Lee. All she wanted to do was find a cure for cancer and the publicity surrounding her achievements caught the attention of very powerful people. Oddly, many in the plot to kill Castro were in the medical field. So much for the Hippocratic Oath. And of course many clandestine activities take place at universities. Keep in mind when they met, Judyth was only 19 and Lee was only 23.

Another point, most public school systems have gifted programs. Can anyone guess why the government would want to know who are the smartest students?

Judyth was threatened for sure. She did as she was told. David Ferrie may have intervened on her behalf. Unlike some other witnesses, she and her husband were from prominent families and her cancer work was well known. Her untimely death would have raised many questions and possibly led back to Dr. Oshner, and they did not want that. When she finally came out with her story, she had to leave the US.
