Without going into the metaphysical side of this, which is purely a matter of belief, the more you think of a certain outcome - the more prepared you are for it. Being prepared for something increases the probability of you being successful when an opportunity arises. Thinking of positive things makes you more prepared for success than thinking too much of the negative. Dwelling in the world of unpleasant things deprives your mind of the good things. On the other hand one should be aware of the reality including the dangers and threads. It is good to make a SWOT analysis of your life every now and then (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threads). Based on that one can plan ahead.

I read the book. How does this fit into the 'christian' dogma? Although I do not claim any religion I have listened to the christian proclaim this a heresy to think for one minute the obvious is impossible. I ask because, I think, you post bible verses making me curious about your thoughts regarding this matter.
