Help ? What help ! ?
@ less prone I watched ya vid, sounds about as sci fi as it gets. Unless there is an esoteric element to all of this that we outsiders are missing, I can't imagine how people could buy into any of this. Then again it's just as kooky as any world religions creation story.
Yep, I'm sure he has made many millions off Scientology. I've read so much on cult think over the years and every little bit of info I have skimmed over the years about Scientology is reflective of cult think/tactics. If people are deprived of info, friends and family, sleep, any sensory deprivation that is exhausting, monetary submission with no return, narrow minded spiritual and psychological tenants that are unchallenged, these are all cult techniques of brainwashing. All consistent modes of behavior are habit forming, bad habits not excluded. Explains one reason why some get trapped in abusive work environments, friendships, or relationships. For some it is tough to break away from the familiar, even if the familiar is detrimental.

Senior Scientologists will refuse to discuss the Xenu subject, it's too embarrassing. Obvious cult religion to manipulate, abuse and control people.
"it sounds like a cult for money scam"
Another fun fact: While the oft-cited rumor that Hubbard made a bar bet with Robert A. Heinlein that he could start a cult is unproven, many witnesses have reported Hubbard making statements in their presence that starting a religion would be a good way to make money. These statements have led many to believe that Hubbard hid his true intentions and was motivated solely by potential financial rewards.
Tom 'Coke Psychosis' Cruise. If all Oprah shows were like that i would start watching.
That's it in a "nutshell" huh? I remember Cruise jumping up and down on the couch.
Well what you described as the basic doctrine sounds pretty scifi to me. Thanks for the info dudes, I'll look into this some more when I can. I really have been meaning to for years but just never got around to it.
