After checking out this video before heading for my Saturday am ritual of hunting and gathering at the local grocery store and farmer's market I decided to see how my city of 21,000 people stood in relation to the number of Jewish inhabitants and the food packaging.
Stats Can says that there are 21,000 folks living in my town, of which the same census, (2001), states that of the responders to the census 35 identified themselves as Jewish.
Alot of the bags, boxes, jugs, and cans I checked out indeed had the U or COR imprint on them, causing me to be spending alot longer time shopping then usual.
I was able to replace most of the things I needed which proudly displayed the logos from the farmer's market which was my second stop on the hunting expedition.
Shop at your local farmers market and support the local agricultural workers and small farm holders. The only way to put an end to this silliness.
