FROM THE TRANCE
I know you tried to love me
Nothing in this world but pain is free
Don’t you stare too long at the illusion
You might get an emotional contusion,
You’ll find that truth is a simple dance
Once you wake up from your trance,
I lost sight of that crystal corridor
As a toddler when I could barely walk across the floor
Just a child gawking in a candy store
Now I seek refuge behind the interstellar door,
Now you bring me back in time-what for-what for-what for?
To a place that exists no more
My personal ship wreck just offshore
These useless words that come from my inner core,
You’ll find that truth is a simple dance
Once you wake up from your trance,
Those tragedies of yesterday
That brought me so much dismay
I fear are here to stay here to stay here to stay
And it won’t make a difference anyway,
Forever on this quest
For the answers before I can rest
Just here on the face of this planet as a guest
Wondering if it’s all just a spiritual test,
You’ll find that truth is a simple dance
Once you wake up from your trance.
Searching for that cosmic romance
Lord just one more chance
I’ve lost everything before from a glance
In a world seduced by technical advance.
