I have been searching on internet for this story.  I seen on news about 3 days ago.  I should of wrote it down since I have not been on net for 3 days.  I was in other room and I heard them say something about some kind of bio testing in Afghanistan.  It sounded like DNA testing.  When I got back into room they were shooting out id cards.  I know they are practicing to do to us.  But it sounded like everyone there has to get this card to prove they belong in their own country.  How crazy!  Has anyone else heard of this and what the exact name is so I can search for more info???  Thanks

I seen where a bank ICIC in Asia is taking over banks (smaller banks) that are not in any debt or any trouble. The workers went on strike protesting the take over http://www.financeasia.com/News/174386,asian-banking-in-the-new-wor...

I remenber in the early 90's when kids in Cuba were injecting them selves with AIDS blood so they could get off the streets and be sheltered and fed. Communisim/Collectivism/Progressiveism is sick. So is "Free Trade Globalism"

GENERATION THAT'S BEEN THROUGH THE MILL
BY ROBERT DOMINGUEZ

YOU WON'T HAVE TO sift too far below the surface of "Bitter Sugar" to find a scathing indictment of modern-day Cuba.

Leon Ichaso, a Havana-born director not exactly known for strong political messages ("Crossover Dreams," "Sugar Hill"), has woven a powerful story around characters symbolizing Cuba's social decay.

"It had to be done. I couldn't be silent," says Ichaso, who came to the U.S. as a teen. "I needed to deliver a message I wanted heard."

Opening today, "Bitter Sugar" tells the story of Gustavo, a handsome honor student who embodies the government's ideal "new man." He wins a scholarship to study engineering in Prague, and his future seems bright. But he falls hard for Yolanda, a dark-eyed dancer with opposing political views and she isn't the innocent she seems to be.

The plot hinges on their bittersweet love affair and Gustavo's rude awakening. Despite that, "Bitter Sugar" is really about Cuba's restless youth, a lost generation with nothing to look forward to but an even bleaker future.

Ichaso based most of his characters on real people and their tragic circumstances jineteras, the girls who latch onto tourists and trade their bodies for food, clothes and other goods. And rockeros, long-haired outcasts who worship American rock and inject themselves with AIDS-tainted blood as a form of protest.

"Castro wrote the script, not me," jokes Ichaso. "I just grafted people's stories."

Filmed in black and white for $700,000, "Bitter Sugar" was lensed mostly in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, with establishing scenes shot in Havana under the pretense that the crew was making an architectural documentary.

While the Cuban-American audience is the natural market, Ichaso is looking to spread his message further.

"The movie wasn't made for the Cubans in Miami," he says. "It was basically made for the whole world to see. The audience I wanted to target are the ones who have blinded themselves to the reality on the island."
