I am somewhat surprised that this topic has turned up again recently even if it's only a chapter in a book as the whole thing went hush, hush years ago. However now folks mentioning (mouse virus?) again in the same breath as ME I see the issue has not gone away. We (unkindly) called it (ME) Yuppy flu at the time (flu for the lazy) as nobody knew what is was. [ Here we see in this recent study -2019 stress from vaccines are mentioned ]
ME was first discovered in my country in 1984 and unknown but many suspected medical contamination. So yes possible vaccine issues all that time ago. Many adults and kids have tb vax from time to time as one common one among others. ( Fortunately after some time the local doctor in charge cured all those who suffered from it by 'twinking' 1 of 3 common medicines depending on what stage they were in. He wrote about this around 2005 from memory when he took to the internet.)
