Veiled Aggression
In a moment of disorientation I fell into the sun
The radiation was no fun
My house cat didn’t consider it a pun
With the zombie apocalypse I’m on the run,
Can’t see the forest for the trees
What if the universe were ever to sneeze?
Drawn into deception by degrees
Would it make any difference if I said please?
What about this chip inside my head
Sometimes I think I’d be better off dead
And what of the silent invaders who get hot lead
Perhaps I become the victim instead,
Just fond reflections from inner space
Thought I caught a whiff of her perfume and lace
There she goes with such elegance and grace
What I wouldn’t give for a can of mace,
So the aliens crashed on hallowed ground
Amazed at the ancient civilization that they’d found
But for a wish upon a burial mound
Startled by that air raid siren sound,
First I’m up and then I’m down
Who’s the fool who wears that crown?
My lost lover in her ritual gown
Could be why that I wear this frown,
Life is but a muddled impression
All your thoughts and confused expressions
Despite your late night confessions
Save me from all the veiled aggression.

Keisha Ruan I guess I misunderstood your sarcasm. Please do more content.
Keisha Ruan, was there something that I did to get on your shit list? Do I deserve a terrible New Year as well?
Taking time away, mind astray, with nothing to do and not much to say.
