I know that a lot of times in my articles it might seem that I'm down on women a lot from a man's perspective but actually I'm much more down on what made women the way they are today and that's society and its hypocritical standards and influences. The poem below explains exactly how I feel towards women and the kind that I have taken as wives even if it didn't work out. Maybe some of us never get over rescuing hurt puppies as kids.
Through Her Disguise
That painful stare so obviously there
If only someone had cared
You needed someone with which to share
To reach out was too much of a dare,
How could you tell anyone about your nightmare?
To others it may have seemed you had a certain flare
They were always clawing at you for an affair
But they were merciless and cared not for your despair,
You won't be able to help yourself my Dear
Holding in all that fear
When Mr. Right comes along you'll use it against him like a spear!
That double edged sword that cuts away at you year by year,

How could I possibly know?
Because I married more than one hiding in the shadows
Paying the price with that deep look in her eyes
Thinking no one can see through her disguise,
Carrying it around like an echoing sound
No rescue no friendly towns only suffering inbound
Like an injured little puppy that no child ever found
Those lonely eyes that stare back from a burial mound,
You are the silent beauty trapped in the night
You are the source of the Devil’s delight
Yet, you’ve suffered against all of your might
No one else seems aware of your plight,
Silently suffering in a maze
Of twisted and hazy days
Hoping for redemption and a little praise
Wondering if this is a permanent phase,
I feel your pain little wounded one
But would you ever let me comfort you under the sun
I can see that you’re on the run
All those battles that haven’t been won,
Those speechless eyes in perpetual rain
If only I could take away your pain
You’re just another victim of the human stain
As the color in your cheeks begins to drain.
Comment
Spoken like a true poet. I wanted to reply to your comment but had to think on it for awhile. My thought is that the poems are not from a mans perspective but rather a Human Perspective. Theres a misconception out there that tells us Love is the highest vibration but I believe it is Joy that holds that top position, Is love not born out of joy first. Many people seek out to find "love" when maybe it is really joy that they long for. Discover those who bring joy to the world and love will surely follow later. Wouldn't you say?
