A means to your child's Safety- I beg Your Pardon- I don't think So!

It's 8:57 am. The school bell rings and your little seven year old runs to make sure he gets into his home room class on time. All the children are putting away there back packs and getting settled in. The teacher enters the class room, "Good morning friends, listen up it's time to call roll."

9:04 am
The sound  of helicopters loud and intense suddenly drowned out the teachers words.
The children become silent and aware, turning in their seats towards the windows to see if they can catch a glimpse of what is going on outside in the early morning light of day.

9:06 Pow Pow Bang Bang bang bang they here next, and the teacher now responds,
"Children get under the tables now. Oh My God, get under the tables now!
GET UNDER THE GOD DAMNED TABLES NOW!!!

Men dressed in black, boots, gas mask and armed come storming in firing and aggressive, shooting off rounds of blanks while children are huddled under tables awaiting chaos and fate for the next hour and a half.
Some children are grabbed up and hauled off out of the room by these men and the rest wait in terrified wonder, so distraught and so frightened they can not even think. Then when it is all said and done the mask come off and the cops inform them all, This was just a test. You guys did great, and listened really good to your teacher. Thank you very much. Maybe we will do this again sometime.

Imagine high school kids in this situation. I wonder how many of these officers may end up shot for real? Knocked the fuck out by kids who don't agree to this kind of safety fucking drill.

What about college kids and adults,,,Excuse me who the hell do you think you are?
Imagine cafeteria trays beating the hell out of men who invade in the name of safety.
I think this is a WACKED-Fucked up idea and these people hopefully get what they deserve.

I swear to God, this had me coming apart at the seams. If kids aren't violent enough well this should give them more reason to be don't ya think? Talk about a back fire Son of a bitch. This is fucked up shit!

May be a good idea, but a terrible way of implementing it for Christ Sake get some sense.

 I was on the internet the other day and this headline caught my eye while I was scrolling down the middle of Bing's homepage.
All over the United States, “active shooter drills” are being conducted in our public schools.  Often, most of the students are not told that these drills are fake.  Instead, students often go through hours of terror as they think a hostage situation or a shooting spree is really taking place. Ever since President Bush was in office these kinds of scenarios have been taking place all over the United States. Some of the staff members in some schools and Universities, but not all have been informed, although many have not, that these new kinds of drills are being implemented as safety precautions in case a terrorist attack or something major should happen in the education system including but not limited to hostage situations or irrational student body actions such as those in Columbine.

Gone are the days of the traditional fire drill, where students dutifully line up in hallways and proceed to the playground, then return a few minutes later. Now, in a ritual reminiscent of the 1950s, when students ducked under desks and covered their heads in anticipation of nuclear blasts, many schools are preparing for, among other emergencies, bomb threats, hazardous material spills, shelter-in-place preparation (in which students would use schools as shelters if a dirty bomb’s plume were to spread dangerously close) and armed, roaming sociopaths.

The scenario was two shooters in Purchase Line High School with gunshots ringing out. There were injured teachers in the hall and students running for their lives.

Numerous law enforcement agencies and fire and rescue personnel will hold “an active shooters drill” at Woodstown High School here Tuesday morning to test their response in the event of a real emergency.

Woodstown Public Safety Director Cris Simmermon said that the purpose of the drill is to better train police, school officials and students on how to react in the event of a real disaster at the school.

The drill will be held at the high school from approximately 8:45 a.m. to 10 a.m., high school Vice Principal Chris Snyder said.

It was Friday the 13th, and Skylar Walters thought he was going to die. The 16-year-old inmate of Orangeville Jr.-Sr. High in Illinois was in gym class when a deranged-looking man barged into the school and began firing what appeared to be a handgun at several of the other students.

"I started praying to God and saying my last words," Skylar later recalled. "I was scared. I didn't know what to do."

As the intruder fired his gun, he called out the name of a particular student; the youngster quite sensibly fled the building. Other kids "were just running everywhere and crying and hiding," Skylar recounted. Some of the panicking schoolkids probably attempted to call or text their parents to describe the horror unfolding in front of them. They didn't know that each of the parents had been instructed not to answer if his child issued a desperate plea for help.
I CAN NOT FATHOM A PARENT AGREEING TO THIS

That last sadistic touch is what distinguished the May 13 "active shooter drill" the kids for whose supposed benefit those drills  -- and the parents responsible for their care, education, and upbringing -- are let in on the joke. DID THEY LAUGH?

I can not understand this at all. I hope to hell this never happens at the school where I am employed at. When I return to work in a few weeks I am going to inform my staff about this. I really am in shock.I mean educating is one thing but using fear tactics is demented, and ignorant.
Seriously do you think if I want to teach a child car safety than then here I go strapping kids into fake cars and then simulating a crash, complete with shattering glass and a dummy spurting blood. I mean, if we're going to scare our kids to death in the name of "preparation," let's at least prepare them for a far more likely demise. School shootings make the news because they are rarer than rare. They are so rare, in fact, that of the 66,600,000 children enrolled in school in 2010-11, thirty-two were the victims of homicide. By contrast, 2,000 kids die annually in car accidents.


 What's the harm some may ask? I hope to hell many ask. How about you tell me?

  My opinion on this is Well,  for one thing, the time could be far better spent drilling kids on street-crossing safety, or pool safety -- even cooking safety. How about simply getting along with one another. How about implementing communication skills; Teach them to dodge the dangers they are far more likely to encounter would be a personal suggestion. I believe the real problem is that these drills are absolutely corrosive. Schools do not use fog machines to make fire drills more terrifying. Tornado drills do not involve hurtling debris through the windows. To most kids, those drills just feel like exciting breaks from the ordinary day. But this kind of drama is really going over the top! Do you agree?

Really put your kids in this situation. Then think of the results.

A school shooting drill is something I do not agree with.. Not only is it more dramatic, it is more traumatic. The message to kids is that they really can't trust anyone. It's like the TSA patting down every last granny in every last wheelchair: We are teaching our kids that only constant paranoia makes sense. I hate this, detest it's  lack of respect for authority and maturity.  I am LIVID! Well one things is for sure. If your kids like the cops, I bet after an incident like this they won't anymore.

From my perspective, “This is very inappropriate for schools.”
