Fast And Furious Report: Justice Department At Fault In Gun-Trafficking Operation

The U.S. Justice Department's internal watchdog on Wednesday referred 14 employees, including senior official Lanny Breuer, for possible internal discipline in connection with a botched gun probe in Arizona.

A 471-page report was released following a 19-month review by the department's inspector general into "Operation Fast and Furious," which allowed about 2,000 potentially illegal firearms to cross the border into Mexico.

The operation raised the fury of U.S. gun-rights advocates and is a focal point for Republican criticism of President Barack Obama leading up to the November 6 elections.

Breuer, an Obama appointee and the head of the Justice Department's criminal division, is cited in the report for not alerting his superiors in 2010 to flaws in a program similar to Operation Fast and Furious that was started during George W. Bush's presidency.

One of Breuer's aides, Jason Weinstein, whom the report also refers for possible disciplinary action, has resigned from the department, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday. Weinstein failed to question firearms officials about the questionable tactics they used, the report said.

Another senior official, Kenneth Melson, will retire from the Justice Department, the spokeswoman said. Melson was the acting director of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives until 2011, when he was reassigned.

Fast and Furious came to light after the December 2010 shooting death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry. Two guns that firearms agents attempted to track were found at the scene of Terry's death in rural Arizona.

The inspector general's report concluded there is "no evidence" that Attorney General Eric Holder, who heads the Justice Department, knew the details of Fast and Furious before they became publicly known in February 2011. Holder requested the internal review the same month.

Lol, raise your hand if you didn't see that coming.

Are we surprised?

Remember Richard Nixon, and who pardoned him, as opposed to making sure he was impeached?

It is a coverup of murder and treason by the congress. All congressional members who were involved in this needs to be recalled by the state who sent them to congress; then arrested, held for prosecution for the civil crime of breaking both the state Constitution and the US Constitution, plus the criminal actions of Murder and Treason under our laws.

How many of you remember news releases shown on ALL mainstream news media, magazines, etc early in 2009 after Obama was elected?

Project Gun Runner (Fast and Furious) was launched under the orders of President Barack Obama with the knowledge of Attorney General Eric Holder. Deputy Attorney General David Ogden announced the Obama Administration's new and aggressive 'comprehensive plan' on March, 24, 2009. The plan was aimed at disrupting gun trafficking between the United States and Mexico.

The first words are: “The president has directed us to...”

Watch it yourself. notice who all is there for this press announcement.

Before that:

Obama signed funding for Project Gunrunner into law- he tried to pass H.R.495 Southwest Border Violence Reduction Act of 2009 asking for 15,000,000 for Project Gunrunner. It didn't make it out of committee. So he (Obama) rolled into the stimulus package a month later - H.R.1 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009... $10,000,000 shall be transferred to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Salaries and Expenses for the ATF Project Gunrunner (Fast and Furious).

Then:

Holder gave a speech at the Arms Trafficking Conference in Cuernavaca, Mexico, on April 2, 2009. There he talked about Operation 'Gunrunner” and told Mexican authorities a rundown on everything he was doing to insure its success.

In Cuernavaca, Holder not only acknowledged the program, he bragged that he was in the process of expanding it:

"Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail."

Look at all the agencies involved.

How can anyone say there was "no evidence"?

There are no negotiations with slaves, goyim, or neutered poodles.  Following the breech of contract perpetrated by the NWO "slave masters" serves but to fill one's intellectual nostril with the stench of corruption.  Of what value is 500 lbs of evidence if less than 1oz of prosecution is realized?  Better is to prepare for the inevitable confrontation would is soon to occur on a physical level.  Or don't you trust you eyes?

Letter from Holder:
Thanks guys for falling on that sword. I'll have your back after the election..........

Nixon should have been able to pick his own investigators as well.

I agree with T Stirhen , could not have said it better. The criminals are so embedded, I think it's going to take our military to get them out. (if the military can consist of oathkeepers)
