Dangerous Growth
The U.S. fiscal gap, calculated (by us) using the Congressional Budget Office’s realistic long-term budget forecast -- the Alternative Fiscal Scenario -- is now $222 trillion. Last year, it was $211 trillion. The $11 trillion difference -- this year’s true federal deficit -- is 10 times larger than the official deficit and roughly as large as the entire stock of official debt in public hands.

They are big figures, too big. Piling hundred dollar bills up to $222 trillion would be 15 million miles high.

A trillion here, a trillion there, and soon you are talking about some big money, and it's actually debt. Debt based banking system is based on faith.

Isn't it dumbass Krugman who says we need more debt, and they should create more debt to prop up the stimulus? Funny how both obumbler and Kruggy are Nobel prize winners.
