DTOM, a long time member of 12160 posted this picture/quote some time back and it has led me to ponder why division continues to plague our society. Have our egos, fears and beliefs put a stranglehold over our lives? We have become so disconnected from each other, but moreover ourselves that we can no longer “see the forest for the trees.” Why must this be?
I have often wondered why it is so important for people to form groups. And why is it that when people enter a group, they start taking on the persona of the group rather than being an individual within the group? Is this due to a humans innate need of acceptance from their peers? That is definitely part of the equation. I see this even with my daughter's interaction with friends. She acts a lot different with a group of friends than she does with only one friend. She is in middle school now and this is the time in life when separation begins. Cliques, groups, gangs and the like start forming. The fear of rejection and being alone has taken root.
Most humans are tribal by nature. Like cats, they want to be a part of a pride and misplaced pride has led many a man into war with himself and others. When man isn't warring, he finds reasons to be at odds with others. We have seen this in society throughout the ages. Splinter groups form because of differing beliefs, the desire to be a part of a winning team and the fear of standing alone. For example, when you look at religion and politics, the sects and sub-sects within both institutions show how fractured they have become and there is no shortage of people willing to be fragmented. Humans have the hardest time getting along, putting belief and ego aside and uniting under a common cause. Why can't we be a part of the bigger tribe, the human race? Why is it so hard to see the bigger picture?
Another aspect of division that has always been troubling to me is the notion that someone or a group has ownership over 'God' hence the 'my God is better than your God' syndrome or... 'my belief is right and yours is wrong' And then you have the arrogant and superficial crowd... 'my bank account is bigger than yours so I am better than you' or... 'I have a college degree so I am smarter than you' and the list of divisiveness goes on and on and on. But they'll never admit when they are are wrong. I guess 'God' forbids it? Simply put, it's egos run amok.
One thing that is too obvious to ignore is the media's role in fomenting division in the world today. We are under a constant deluge of Government sponsored propaganda on the teLIEvision. Whether the MSM is cheer leading for war, propagating racial/religious tensions, telling us what to think or buy, etc... their job is to create confusion, fuel emotions and cause us to mistrust ourselves and each other. And the end game is a divided people. So why are people still watching the teLIEvision? They're stuck inside the idiot box and have allowed others to do the thinking for them.
What really flusters me is seeing how all these things really frustrate any kind of upward progression for humanity. They all work in perfect concert to keep us from achieving any kind of peace and change within our lives. And all the while the NWO plays on the these weaknesses to divide and ultimately... conquer.
Humanity needs to grow outside the boxes they have rooted themselves in. As long as we remain divided, we have no power to effect change. Life is too short to allow our differences to keep us separated. Each and every one of us is the change we seek.
Just for a moment, remember back to when you were a young child. At that time in life, we had no concept of fear, hate, ego or belief's. There was no need for groups because we all got along, accepted each other and had no care about race, religion, gender, etc... We were pure of heart, mind and spirit. We were humble. We were free.
It has often been stated that at some point in time, life comes full circle. The natural progression is to go back to the beginning and start anew. Becoming child-like will bring us back to being one again.
I am not religious but this verse from the Bible is relevant but moreover right on.
To Be a Child!
Matthew 18:2-4 “Jesus called a little child to come to him. Jesus stood the child before the followers. Then Jesus said, "I tell you the truth. You must change and become like little children {in your hearts}. If you don't do this, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. The greatest (most important) person in the kingdom of heaven is the person that makes himself humble like this child."

(until we eventually realize that the alternatives suck)
Agreed
The whole crux of this essay is that we've allowed ourselves to become divided. It's nobody's fault but our own. We can spend hours, days, months and even years placing the blame on someone or something but what does that accomplish?.. not a damn thing. It's time to take a good look in the mirror and realize the reflection staring back at you is the change you seek. Until we learn humility, we are still slaves to our weaknesses that are easily preyed upon by TPTB.
