Heya! Do many of you ATS?
Hey guys. This is one of my favorite sites for theories even though some are conspiracy. I like that even though I have many outlets, the community here always has something to say that I haven't seen outside of this website that holds truth. I find that even though there are a lot of untruths being posted its really not even close to as bad as some other theory sites. Which brings me to the purpose of this thread. I'm an AboveTopSecret.com user and While I get my information from many places, ATS and 12160 are two of my favorites. ATS has it's fair share of crazy theories just like the rest but the community does a good job calling out BS. I feel like these two communities may be mostly unaware of each other and I'm doing a bit of surveying.

PS, I stole the Hilary Clinton book signing to Christopher Stevens and the UN broadcast on Syria to share to ATS. They are talking about it on the site now.

I've been doing this sorta thing for about 17-18 years now and i know of many conspiracy sites/forums... ATS and CC both lost me a long time ago back in 06-07 i believe it was and never really been a fan of em.

Why were they lost to you and what other media have you picked up in their absence? Also why were you never really a fan of specifically ATS?
Please answer as some might see your response as a reason to discredit a website although no case was made as to why.

Simply too much aliens rule the world, disinformation, speculations, attention whores, mental cases who just makes silly paranoid stories up and link it to whatever they hear, see or read that kinda behaviour scared me away almost straight away and hard to take seriously since theres almost never any hard evidence.

I can understand. The site have multiple sides and while things like that do appear I fell those intelligent enough will quickly shy away from such posts. It's sad that this is the world we live in.

Daniel's reply pretty much covers my situ and thoughts too on this - although I have to say that I despise the closed minded skeptics who will dismiss anything remotely contrary to the 'expected norm / reality' as much as the nuts / over zealous and attention seekers. The content of these forums never seems to change, its the same topics discussed over and over again in a rote fashion, with few ever daring to put forward any orginal thoughts that deviate from the established hypotheses. The UFOlogy (hahahaha...how I hate that word) ETH crowd are the worst offenders...
