Welcome to the future home of StartMail, the private email service being developed by StartPage and Ixquick, the world’s most private search engines.

Our engineering team has been working diligently to create the new StartMail email service. We have built everything from the ground up and have incorporated state-of-the-art privacy protections at each step. The hardware is now in place and we are currently performing stringent internal testing to ensure 100% compliance with our high security and quality standards

I'm not real big on privacy anymore... I WANT them to follow my bread crumbs and know I am after them.

That is foolish.  They don't knock on your door.  They (being 4-5 of them) can bust in your door while you are sleeping.

The URL shows exactly where you are.

USING such a service tosses a flag on the field. If it is not encrypted at the source (private / public key ... not some hoo-doo "proprietary" encryption), it's vulnerable.

Using GNuPG over Tor works ... but it's a royal pain to get others to get on board with the whole encryption / key-exchange thing. Tor TO Gmail works ... until it gets to Gmail. And it's impossible (for mere mortals) to follow a link away from Gmail while using Tor.

The technology is already there ... and has been for quite some time ... what has been lacking is the willingness of the wetware to play to win.

I don't quite care anymore... they are the traitors... I won't be here.

bummer...gonna cost ye, was hopin this was going to be free, love their Startpage.com ;)
