Well, if they don't wish to become literate (at least able to read and write), what will these little delicate flowers do to earn a living? I guess share cropping is still open.

Public schools are the rubbish bins of society and the teachers are just there to sit on the lid and take the blame for the smell

if you can teach a child to think the rest comes naturally

can too :)

But they aren't there to teach kids how to think they are there to teach kids what to think, not to think, now why would that be?

I installed energy management systems in public schools in the 70's and 80's in multiple southern states. I vividly recall being above a classroom in a hung ceiling while the black teacher was instructing  her black pupils. She was speaking in "Ebonics" and at the same time was writing on the blackboard the same grammatically incorrect phrases. All I can say is that state is illiterate to the extreme and the education system is loving it. Dumbed down and working for a nation of low pay slaves.

Welcome to the future country of the United States of Congoo, did I spelted that rong?

That's funny,... or sad, maybe.

A great reason to bring back 'segregation' to the 'government school system'. That 'system' is meant to downsize a mind to it's least common denominator. So lets see which race of people will win the 'race to the bottom'. Come on, it'll be fun to watch.

A teacher asked the little girl 'Anita what do you want to be when you grow up'. "Huh, oh yesum, I wants to be a Nurse"

'And Jason, what is your plan when you grow up'. "Ias to be a firemans".

'So how about you Fredde'.

"I'm going to bes a MudderF*cker, yas sir".
