(Reuters) - Seventeen workers were exposed to low-level radiation from plutonium on Tuesday at a U.S. Energy Department nuclear research lab in Idaho, but there was no risk to the public, the government said.
The accident at the Idaho National Laboratory occurred inside a facility used for remotely handling, processing and examining spent nuclear fuel, radioactive waste and other irradiated materials, the lab said in a series of statements.

Seems to me the "age limit" has past on these nuclear plants because there was hardly any trouble before. Don't the workers have to wear special suits in the plant - Maybe I am wrong; but it's common sense to do so. Don't you think. And drinking the water - well that person isn't "playing with a full of cards" as far as I'm concerned!!
We all were warned by the government in Ontario the accidents could happen at the Nuclear Plant in Pickering, Ontario. They even gave out magnets that turn a certain colour if a leak should happen. Now this is going back 35 years ago. And Pickering has been updated and no accidents. That is for now. Anything could happen.
If they knew that information 35 years ago, then what is the matter with the people (professionals) then from now? I'll tell you - they have since retired and the younger Generation do not have a God damned clue what they are doing. God help us all. With all that power in the wrong hands - we may be doomed!!!
In a nutshell - That is the worlds problem.
