Paul supporters who are registered Republicans are urgently needed to help secure Ron Paul on the ballot in Ohio for the 2012 primary election. With the confusion around the redistricting and primary date in Ohio, there is a possibility that petitions need to be filed with the Ohio Secretary of State by next Wed, Dec 7th. The campaign has decided the best course of action is to get the signatures for 1 delegate in each of the new 16 Ohio congressional district. Delegates are needed to actually vote for Ron Paul at the Republican National Convention. If you are a registered Republican and you can help gather signatures ASAP, you are urgently needed this weekend. Here is what you can do.
First understand what district you are in according to the new district map. Here is a map of the state:

Here is a set of maps for each new congressional district:

For the district in which you will gather signatures, print out the delegate petition for that district. Each of the petitions for each delegate in each new districts are here:

A minimum of 50 valid signatures from either registered Republicans or Independents are required for each Delegate/Congressional District. Remember, not only do the voters signing the petition need to be registered Republicans or independents, they also must live in the district for which that petition is for! So for example, If you live in the new district 3, this is what you need to do.
- Make sure you are a registered Republican with the state of Ohio.
- Print out the PDF file that has CD_3 in the name.
- Get registered Republicans and Independents to sign the petition who live in the new congressional district 3. Get as many as you can!
- Await further instructions on who to turn the petitions in to and when here or on the facebook site http://www.facebook.com/RP2012OH. I am not sure how the gathering and turn in process will go right now.
How do you know if someone is a registered Republican or Independent? You can of course ask people and hopefully they know. Also the secretary of state provides a list of all registered voters here:
http://www2.sos.state.oh.us/pls/voter/f?p=111:1:30421728661129
You can download the voter file for a county and validate that the person is registered and is Republican or nothing. If you need help with this I can also send you a list of registered republicans and independents on a particular street if you send me the county and street name.
If you have questions or need help my contact info is here. If you can get signatures it would be great if you can let me know.
