DON"T VOTE IT JUST ENCOURAGES THE BASTARDS!
To vote is befitting of idiots
It is as foolish as believing that men, of the same make as ourselves, will acquire in a moment, at the ringing of a bell, the knowledge and the understanding of everything. Of course it is so. Your elected person shall have to legislate on every subject under the moon; how a box of matches should or should not be made, or how to make war; how to improve the agriculture, or how best to kill a tribe of Arabs or a few Negroes. Probably you believe that their intelligence will grow in proportion to the variety of subjects they have to give their minds to; but history and experience teaches otherwise.
The first step to understanding the evils of voting is to get past the surrounding emotional manipulation. “Doing your duty”, “Participating in your government”, “Seeing what society really wants”, “Making your voice heard”, and “Creating the kind of society you want” are all used as emotional justifications for voting. They’re emotional pleas by which people become emotionally invested in voting.
Voting makes people feel as if they’re given a choice. Voting validates the sucker, the slave, and the conquered person to themselves. The sucker feels as if he’s accomplished something. The slave was allowed to choose a new master (and therefore, must not be a slave). The conquered person is thrown a table scrap, making him appear less conquered. Ultimately, voting must happen to placate those who are ground under the hapless machinations of empire. Modern countries without voting are filled with surfs or they revolt. Americans generally understand that they aren’t (directly) peasants (even if they are indirectly), and those running the show don’t want a revolt (a strike isn’t profitable for any company), so “the vote” must exist to give legitimacy to the lip service of a free society; the (illusion of) choice. Americans must be given the feeling as if they’re controlling their own destiny because they’ve been raised to believe that they’re free people. And in the choice between having the right or left eye poked out—whether it’s through electing one of two fascist warmongers or thousands of superfluous pieces of localized legislation—American voters certainly are masters of their own destiny. Which eye will it be, the right eye or the left eye?
A motion of no confidence is primarily a statement or vote which states that a person in a superior position - be it government, managerial, etc. - is no longer deemed fit to hold that position. This may be based on said person falling short in some respect, failing to carry out obligations, or making choices that other members feel are detrimental.

The historical argument
Are you unhappy with what the government has been doing? Do you feel the country is on the wrong course? Do we need a “change”? Well, I’ve got bad news for anyone who answered in the affirmative. Two hundred (plus) years of voting has gotten us here. Two hundred (plus) years of compromise, mob rule, philosophical slack, flaccid language, fraudulence, and manipulation has arrived us at this point. And more voting is going to change it? More voting is going to fix it? Voting for fools has cost generations of people their civil liberties, so more voting is going to win them back? Voting for villains has created an ever larger government for as long as anyone has been alive, so more voting will shrink the size of government? Centuries of voting has put crooks, thieves, and gangsters into political power, so more voting will somehow remove them?
A comment. A glimmer of hope out in 12160 land :)!
Is the system really broken? Or doing what it's designed to do?

But you already know it!
Appreciate the comments Tara :)

All voting is a sort of gaming, like checkers or backgammon, with a slight moral tinge to it, a playing with right and wrong, with moral questions; and betting naturally accompanies it. The character of the voters is not staked. I cast my vote, perchance, as I think right; but I am not vitally concerned that that right should prevail. I am willing to leave it to the majority. Its obligation, therefore, never exceeds that of expediency. Even voting for the right is doing nothing for it. It is only expressing to men feebly your desire that it should prevail. A wise man will not leave the right to the mercy of chance, nor wish it to prevail through the power of the majority. There is but little virtue in the action of masses of men.

"The next time they give you all that civic bullshit about voting, keep in mind that Hitler was elected in a full, free democratic election." George Carlin
"The government consists of a gang of men exactly like you and me. They have, taking one wtih another, no special talent for the business of government; they have only a talent for getting elected and holding office. Their principal device to that end is to search out groups who pant and pine for something they can't get and to promise to give it to them. Nine times out of ten that promise is worth nothing. The tenth time is made good by looting A to satisfy B. In other words, government is a broker in pillage, and every election is sort of an advance auction sale of stolen goods." H.L.Mencken
