Comments responding to their call to action included suggestions that protesters “bomb the bus.”

A policy tour is not an invitation for violent protests. We ask & recommend they stay home. Peaceful political debate is welcome#FearlessConservative #gapol https://t.co/ffBg6bquaG

At the first sanctuary city stop, Williams said that there were well over 200 people between protesters and supporters.
“They were holding up signs — mostly derogatory — but it’s a free country and thats what I love. That is one of the things I am fighting for, protecting the rights of even those who disagree with me,” Williams said.
Williams told Gateway that he “couldn’t even count” the amount of violent threats that they have received over the bus tour, but said that law enforcement was doing a fantastic job keeping the peace.
